DDRx Mode Register De/Encoder

You do need to know the configuration of your DDR memory interface after boot?
This is required e. g. for verification measurements in order to setup the scope correctly for any kind of Embedding or Deembedding of interposers, Packages or other traces.
Exact knowledge of termination value and DFE settings are needed to be entered in the scope.
But also simpler things like what Latency, Write/Read pre/postamble (for Read/Write separation) are used is needed for such tests
Of course for failure analysis it is also absolutely required to understand the configuration of the memory PHY!
During configuration of the memory interface while boot or for a pre-configured Memory interface many mode registers are written to the DRAM.
In order to understand the DRAM configuration one should decode the mode registers. This is quite cumbersome if you have to do this just based on the specification.
Similar the other way round: One knows the settings one would like to configure, but how does the corresponding MR need to be written?
This tool provides de and encoding functionality for LPDDR4, LPDDR5 and DDR5.
LPDDR6 (and DDR6) is coming soon!
For Download is only a demo with some limited numbers of MR to decode, the full version provides all relevant registers for encoding.
There is no need for installation, this is a standalone executable that can run without installation.
Feel free to give it a try and contact EyeKnowHow if this tool looks interesting!
Please check the download section under “Our Services” to download the demo!
